COLLEGE PROFILE
The University of Canberra (UC) is a public university that is located in Bruce, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.UC offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses covering six main learning areas: Applied Science; Health; Art and Design; Business, Government and law; Education and Information Sciences and Engineering. As of 2014, the university also offers its degrees at the Holmesglen Institute of TAFE, Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE, Northern Sydney Institute of TAFE and South Western Sydney Institute of TAFE.The campus is within walking distance of Westfield Belconnen, and 12 minutes by regular bus service or car from Canberra’s Civic Centre.The University of Canberra College specialises in preparing both Australian and International students for study at the University of Canberra. If you do not gain direct entry into a degree at UC, you can choose from one of many pathway programs.These programs will prepare students for study at, and qualify them for, entry to the University. As well as prepare students who have gained direct entry to the University but feel assistance is needed for particular subjects.

CAMPUS FACTS
The University of Canberra (UC), based in Australia's national capital, occupies a site of almost 120 hectares in the suburb of bruce, about eight kilometres north-west of the central business district. The Bruce precinct includes a technology park, the Australian Institute of Sport, a campus of the Canberra Institute of Technology, a major hospital and several government departments.The students share the same campus and have access to all the same facilities, which provides an authentic and exciting introduction to university life.

WEATHER
Canberra has a relatively dry continental climate by Australian standards. In January, the warmest month, the average high is approximately 28 °C (82 °F); however, in July, the coldest month, the average high is only about 11 °C (52 °F). Frost is common in the winter months. Snow is rare in the CBD (central business district), but the surrounding areas get annual snowfall through winter and often the snow-capped mountains can be seen from the CBD.Light snow falls only once or twice per year, and it is usually not widespread and quickly dissipates.Canberra is protected from the west by the Brindabellas which create a slight rain shadow in Canberra's valleys. Canberra gets 100.4 clear days annually.
